Nugzar's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to cover the cost of a car and start working as a driver.

Nugzar's story

Nugzar is 54 year old married man, from Batumi city, west Georgia. He wife is a housekeeper and they have a kindergarten-aged son. Nugzar is the only breadwinner in the family. He works as a conductor at the local bus station and gets 200 GEL monthly. The salary is really hardly enough for the family to cover even basic needs and daily expenses.

Due to the above mentioned situation, Nugzar lacks access to capital markets and financial institutions to obtain credit for starting a business, as they require enough income and business experience. The Start Up program created by Kiva and Credo enabled him to get a loan of 3000 USD. He plans to cover the remaining amount of the car, that he has already found and start a transportation business. Nugzar will start serving clients and transfer them from his city to the capital.

With support of the Start Up program Nugzar will get an opportunity to be involved in his own business, generate significant income and tackle his financial difficulties.
