Allah Kabo Group's story

All married and living in monogamous households, the four members of the Allah Kabo group are on average 41 years old with four children each.. They all live in Kalaban-coro, one of the neighbourhoods of Bamako and know one another through local connections. The group members are small traders of cereals (rice, corn, meal), soaps and charcoal. With the objective of building their inventory, the group members decided to work with Soro Yiriwaso and they are at their third cycle of group loans. Kadiatou (the woman on the right in the photo) is a major seller of high quality cereals - she intends to use her loan to purchase twenty sacks of rice. She buys her supplies in the main market, and retails the products in Bamako to both men and women. Kadiatou plans to make an average monthly profit of FCFA100,000 with this loan, which will be used to look after the children of the family.
