A loan helped to buy piglets and feed for the pigs.
Thanh An 5 Group's story
Mrs. Hanh, 35, is a Thai ethnic lady who lives with her husband, along with her two children, in a Thai ethnic traditional house. Her son is 13, her daughter is 10 years old, and they both attend school fully. Her family relies on agricultural production with plenty of activities such as growing rice, raising buffalo, pigs, and chickens for a living. To have enough capital for expanding production, Mrs. Hanh has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em Program. This is the third time she has received a loan from the Program and she will use it to buy piglets and feed for the pigs. Despite various difficulties ahead, Mrs. Hanh is still very determined to invest in pig raising as she believes that the support of the agricultural workers of Anh Chi Em will be available to help her overcome problems. She hopes the investment will go smoothly and dreams of a more abundant life for her children. In the picture, she stands first from the right.
