Mkongoni Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy sacks of charcoal to resell and to finish paying for his motorcycle.
Mkongoni Group's story
Kheri, who is in his early 50s, is married with three children who are still going to school. He has been selling charcoal for seven years now. He works from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and is able to make a good monthly profit. This will be Kheri's second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loan to increase the charcoal stock and has paid back his loan successfully. He used the profit to pay school fees, for loan repayment and to cover household expenses. He will use this loan to buy sacks of charcoal to resell and to finish paying for his motorcycle. He dreams of finishing building his house by putting in floor tiles and electricity. Kheri will share this loan with his loan group, Mkongoni, which consists of two members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
