Rajab's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase a solar light and gain access to cost efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for maize cultivation.
Rajab's Group's story
Rajab is a 34-year-old proud father of 5 children. He is a group leader, often described as a very hardworking individual, and he is representing his group of 11 farmers in Butere District. Since joining One Acre Fund in 2013, Rajab has noticed that he has been able to consistently feed his family. Rajab described his harvest as very good last year, but he believes he can have a better one this year by continuing to work with One Acre Fund. He is very excited to also be purchasing a solar light, apart from fertilizer and maize, because he will now be able to have light during the night and have somewhere to charge his phone. With the profits from this season’s harvest, he plans to buy a cow. With this loan, Rajab’s Group will be able to plant a total of 6 acres of land and purchase a total of 13 solar lights.
