Thanh An 4 Group's story

Mrs Ang, 39, is a Thai ethnic lady who lives with 5 other family members, including her husband and her two children who are grown-up. One studies at college, and another studies in Grade 11. They live together happily in an old Thai ethnic traditional house and rely on agricultural production for a living. To have enough income to cover living expenses for the family, Mrs Ang diversifies cultivation and animal husbandry into various activities such as growing rice, cassava, corn, and raising buffalo, pigs, chickens, and musk duck. Dealing with the difficulty of lack of capital, she has taken out a loan in the Anh Chi Em Program. This is the third time she has received a loan from the program and she will use it to buy young fish and food for the fish. She hopes to gain good income from the investment in order to buy new furniture for the house and pay tuition fee for her children. Mrs Ang dreams of a more abundant life and a brighter future for her children. In the picture, she wears the red shirt and stands first from the right.
