Jairo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy inputs that he will apply to his coffee plots to ensure a good harvest.

Jairo's story

Jairo is an innovating man, with a lot of disposition for work. He lives in a rural community in the north of Nicaragua, where the main financial activity is coffee production, which he also cultivates in 5 manzanas (1,740 acres = 1 manzana) of his small farm that has obtained the fair trade certification (UTZ and C.A.F.E. Practices). In the last three years, this small businessman has been improving the conditions of his coffee plots, which has allowed him to increase in 40% the profits from his coffee, and for this year his goal is to continue increasing his farm's productivity. For this he is requesting a loan to buy the inputs that will warrant soil fertility, and with it to obtain a better yield and quality in order to have more income to keep supporting his three children's education. His dream is to leave his children a productive farm in bequest, so that they can optimize the resources they have, applying the knowledge they will get with their education.
