Mtaji Wa Masikini Group's story
Victor, who is in his late 20s, is married and has two children; one is at school and the other one is still small. He has been buying meat from the slaughtering place and distributing it to butcher shops. He has been in this business for five years now. He works from midnight to 5 a.m. daily and is able to make a a good monthly profit. This will be Victor's eighth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to increase the meat stock and has paid back all his loans successfully. He used the profit to pay school fees, repay loans, buy a shamba and cover household expenses. He is happy with the loan and appreciates Kiva for its support. He will use this loan to distribute meat to more butcher shops and meet his customers' demands. He dreams of owning a big business. Victor will share this loan with his loan group " Mtaji wa Masikini" which has two members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
