Chhoung's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to rent a two-hectare plot of farmland to grow cassava.
Chhoung's Group's story
Chhoung, a farmer from the Bovel district in Battambang province, is 47 years old. She is the married mother of seven children, five of whom are dependent on her and still in high school. For a living, she grows rice and cassava. To supplement her income, Chhoung sells pork at the market near her house. She has been involved in her job for 10 years. This is Chhoung's third time with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) and she has fully repaid her previous loans. She leads a group of five to take out a new loan. As the group leader, she will spend her loan portion to rent a two-hectare plot of farmland to grow cassava. She hopes that she can earn more income to improve her standard of living.
