Maa Raudi Devi Shg-A Group's story
Padma, Chandri and Koushalya belong to an 11-member group, Maa Raudi Devi SHG-A. Padma is a 41-year-old lady living with her husband and three children. In the picture, the lady standing in middle in the photo is Padma. She owns and manages a dairy farm, where she has a few cows and buffaloes. She sells 10 liters of milk per day and earns 8,000 INR per month. Her monthly income is very small for a family of five persons, as her children are in school. She wants to purchase two Jersey cows for her farm, as demand for cow's milk is high in her village. She also has a plan to repair the shed for her cattle and make it bigger. Padma, along with her group members, has requested a loan of 54,000 INR. She will use her portion of the loan for purchasing two cows and renovating the shed. In the future, she wants to expand her farm and sell more milk products like yogurt, butter, etc. She has a dream to give a quality life to her family and save some money for her children's future. All the members of this group are engaged in the dairy business.
