Zurabu's story

Zurabu is 42 years old and she is married with three children. She has a specialized high school education and for 15 years, she has been engaged in farming work, which is the main source of income for her family. She has seven cows and six sheep on her farm, as well as a 1.34-hectare plot of land, on which she grows potatoes and clover for resale. Zurabu is known as a principled, honest, organized and reliable person. Today, her business brings her a monthly income of 20,000 som (KGS). In order to develop her business further, Zurabu has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy livestock. She plans to reinvest the income from this loan back into her business and she wants to get a plot of land, on which she can build a home.
