Wael Al-Hodeidah Group's story
Wael Al-Hodeidah group has previously taken a Kiva loan. All the members of the group completely returned the first loan and now the group has applied for a second one of 170,000 YER from Kiva lenders. This group now consists of Niama, Elham, Baraka and Fatima. The sole member from the first group is Niama, who is the leader of it. Niama is very thankful to Kiva lenders for their first loan, which helped her to increase her business. She has finished all the installments of the first loan and asked a loan of 50,000 YER from Kiva lenders to purchase women's clothes, perfumes and incense to resell for her customers. Her husband became unable to look after the children, so Niama decided to help him in that responsibility through selling women's clothes, perfumes, and incense door to door in her area. Most of what she earns goes to cover the necessary needs of her family and she wants to increase her business. She is optimistic this loan will help her to make a good deal of money. The family's income is very limited and this loan will improve it. Niama will use some of her profits to furnish the house because it lacks of a lot of furniture and most of the furniture is very old. Niama hopes this loan will be funded too.
