Mtvarisa's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped To purchase seeds and start cultivating watermelon.
Mtvarisa is 42 years old, from the village of Bashi. She has a husband, two sons and a daughter. The family-members are temporarily unemployed, as there is a high unemployment rate in the region and also because of having no university degree or any professional education. Mtvarisa and her family live in poverty and get social assistance from the local government. For satisfying just the basic needs of her family, Mtvarisa is involved in agricultural business. She is engaged in cattle breeding, in cultivating a plot of agricultural land, where she harvests maize and sells it seasonally. As the family finds it hard to earn a living, Mtvarisa decided to expand her agricultural business and requested a loan. All the financial institutions rejected her loan request, because of their unstable financial situation. The start-up program that was created between Kiva and Credo enabled her to get a loan of 1,200 GEL and purchase watermelon seeds. Mtvarisa will plant them and get significant seasonal income from this new business. The loan will be a great support to this poor family and they will appreciate Kiva lenders' help and kindness.
