Letty Marilyn's story

In the area known as Los Angeles in the Colon parish of the city of Portoviejo, all of the members of the loan group "Los Angeles de Colon" meet every 15 days. These same members are dedicated to various activities such as farming and general commerce. Letty lives here. She is 58 years old, single and lives in her parents' home. She is a founding member of the loan group and she likes it because, thanks to the loans, she was able to begin her business which allows her to get ahead so she is very thankful for the Fundacion Espoir and to the people who make these loans possible. Letty is a woman who likes to work to support herself and her mother. She has a small business in her house where she sells cokes, water, beers, candies, ice, among other items. Although her sales are not a lot, what she sells gives her what she needs to get ahead and this pleases her since she earns at home and can attend to her mother who is elderly. This loan will be used to buy water, sodas, sweets, candies and beer which provides the best earnings. Her dream is to have a large grocery store.
