Marcelina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy merchandise for her sari-sari store and to pay for additional raw ingredients for her eatery business.
Marcelina is from Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. She is married and has two children. Her husband is a farmer. Unable to sustain the needs of the family with only her husband’s income, she has found ways to attain income through her eatery business. It began with displaying a small amount of viands to their neighbors until she opened a small space for the eatery. To generate more income, Marcelina joined Paglaum Cooperative, which helped her in the capitalization of her sari-sari (small grocery) store in February of 2012. She became a MIGS member, which is why she has received loans several times already. Now, she applies for 14,900 PHP to buy merchandise for her sari-sari store and to pay for additional raw ingredients for her eatery business. She hopes that her business will continue, so that she can give her family a better life.
