A loan helped to purchase a generator, metallic chairs, hospital beds and some office supplies.
The earthquake of January 2010 destroyed many technical schools in the country. A lot of students were not able to pursue further education. Ricardo, who was also affected by this horrible situation, decided to bring his support to the education sector in Gressier. By opening ICFOTEP, he understood that investing in education was an effective way to create opportunities for youth, especially those living outside of Port-au-Prince. ICFOTEP has four years of existence providing training to hundreds of Haitian students in nursing and cosmetology. To do that, Ricardo thrives to successfully hire qualified teachers, and offers affordable services to everyone. Now, Ricardo is challenged to bring more innovation by acquiring a generator, chairs, a medical bed and some office supplies. A loan from Zafen will help the business offer a better quality of services to the nursing students.
