Omorden Bor Group's story
These members are part of Omorden Bor Group, and they are beginning their fourth loan cycle with ID Ghana. The group is made up of five members. The members’ businesses include soft drinks, silver shine, banku (cook cassava and corn paste), sewing accessories and seamstress. This loan will help their small businesses, including Jennifer's. This is her fourth loan from ID Ghana, having joined at a friend’s invitation. Jennifer has a business providing seamstress services to her customers, and says that she started this business by learning as an apprentice. She will use the money from this loan as working capital to buy more materials, lining, and sewing accessories, to sew and sell to customers. This work will allow her to generate income with which to support her family. She is married and has one child. When asked what she likes abut ID Ghana, she says that she likes the health care that the institution provides. The group will need a total amount of GHS 2,400 to better their businesses.
