Almakan's story

Almakan is 62 years old, married and raised 3 children. In search of a source of income for her family, Almakan started her own business in animal husbandry and farming in 1990 with an initial capital of 10,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Almakan's hard and persistent work, today her farm contains a cow and 9 sheep. Additionally, she grows rice. Her monthly income amounts up to 25,000 som (KGS). In order to continue developing her business, Almakan requested a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) from the Bai-Tushum Bank to buy livestock. Almakan plans to invest the earnings from the loan into growing her business and education for her grandchildren.
