Jean Bosco's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped To work with 17 farming cooperatives to process long-grain rice during the January harvest.

Jean Bosco's story

Jean Bosco is turning into one of Rwanda's best and most impactful rice processors. Over the past year he has grown from running his business at 30% capacity to 60% capacity. He has increased his paddy rice suppliers from 10 cooperatives to 17 cooperatives. And, by providing agronomists to work directly with these cooperatives, he has seen the average yield per farm double. Check out this video to hear directly from Jean Bosco and see his factory. Jean Bosco is a four time borrower with AEC, starting with a $10,000 loan and increasing to $25,000 with each successful repayment. Now, Jean Bosco is looking for $50,000 so that he can buy more paddy rice inputs to run his factory at full capacity. We are fully confident that he will repay this loan on time, like all of the previous ones. Jean Bosco is so certain that he will repay the loan on time, that he has already submitted a check dated October 1, 2015. In Rwanda, bouncing a check is punishable by prison time, that's how confident Jean Bosco is. We are so pleased to continue to support Jean Bosco as he continues to grow his business, and we are so thankful for any support of this loan. He truly is pushing forward one step at a time and his business is thriving.
