Nguvu Moja Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy both charcoal for cooking and food stock such as rice, beans, flour, cooking oil, meat, and chicken.

Nguvu Moja Group's story

Riziki, who is in her mid-40s, is a widow with 4 children, 3 of whom are at school while the fourth is now grown. She has been a food vendor for 8 years now, though she has also started selling tap water. She works from 6am to 6pm daily and is able to earn a good monthly profit. This will be Riziki's 10th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used her previous loans to expand her mamalishe business and dig a well for collecting tap water, and she managed to repay all of her loans successfully. She used her profits to pay school fees and purchase a TV set, deck, radio, and sofa set. She was also able to cover her household expenses. Riziki will use her loan portion to buy both charcoal for cooking and food supplies such as rice, beans, flour, cooking oil, meat, and chicken. She dreams of owning her own food shop. Riziki will share this loan with her loan group Nguvu Moja, which consists of 5 members who will hold each other accountable for repaying their loan.
