Villa Esther Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy an industrial oven.

Villa Esther Group's story

The communal group “VILLA ESTHER” is starting its fifth cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Centro Focal Santiago II. The group comprises eight members and is directed by a board of directors of whom Virginia is the President. The members own varied businesses, including bread sales, transportation services, hat sales and blankets.

The loan they are requesting will benefit Virginia and the micro businesses that are part of the group. She indicates that this is the third year she is part of Pro Mujer, since being invited by a client of the institution and becoming a member.

Currently, she runs a bread business. She began her business many years ago, on her own initiative, when she saw the lack of people running this kind of business; that made her decide to start her own.

The loan she is requesting is to increase capital to buy an industrial oven that she will acquire in stores in the city of La Paz and then implement into her own work space. This kind of work allows her to generate the means to support her family financially, as she is a single mother of one child.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she enjoys the training the institution provides.
