Edith's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for clean cookstoves to sell in Kenya's slum communities.

Edith's Group's story

Edith and John are working as sales agents for iSmart Kenya. iSmart is a social enterprise with a mission to create jobs for youth and women in slums. To achieve this, we train and hire unemployed youth and women to sell environmentally friendly and socially transformative products in their communities. Most families in Nairobi's slums use charcoal for cooking. Edith and John are holding a clean-burning cookstove. These cookstoves have an advanced design that uses less charcoal than traditional cookstoves and emits less toxic smoke, saving the customer money and improving their health. Please support Edith and John in bringing these beneficial cookstoves to families living in Nairobi's slums.
