Asmati's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped To renovate the ritual hall and get income from this business.
Asmati is a 46-year-old single woman from the village of Tskhratskaro. She lives with her pensioner mother and 2 brothers. Asmati and her brothers have their own small agribusiness and get income from selling agricultural products at the local market. However, basically they have seasonal income which is hardly enough to meet the basic needs. Asmati decided to start her own, more stable activity and requested a loan as she has no financial support. Her loan request was rejected each time, because of low income and the family’s poor living conditions. According to Credo estimations the family belongs to the vulnerable poor category. Asmati has requested a Credo loan for the start-up her own business. Her loan request was approved in the frames of a joint initiative of Kiva and Credo. The start-up loan program envisages provision of business start-up and re-startup credits with soft conditions for the country's rural poor, who do not have access to credit products, being regarded as “high risk borrowers” because of low income. Asmati plans to renovate the place for ritual hall and generate income from this activity. Her business will be used by local people for wedding days, christenings and other celebrations. Asmati will be able to generate significant income for her family and make better living conditions as well. She awaits your support and kindness.
