Samaher's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a baking oven to start baking Lebanese whole wheat bread (Mishtah).

Samaher's story

Samaher is a 43-year-old single lady who started working as a baker fifteen years ago to cover her needs and expenses. She learned baking from her mother a long time ago. Thus she gained professional skills in this domain. She bakes " Markook" which is a type of flatbread baked on a domed or convex metal griddle, known as "Saj." Samaher is a hard working and ambitious lady who is trying hard to develop her business, so she is acquiring a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua to buy a baking oven which will help her start baking the Lebanese whole wheat bread (Mishtah). This loan will help Samaher satisfy her customers' special needs. She hopes to expand her business more in the future to increase her income and improve her living conditions.
