Nii Nii Baa Hi Le 2 Group's story
These members are part of the group called Nii Nii Baa Hi Le 2, and they are on their fourth loan cycle with ID-Ghana. The businesses run by the members include tea, rice and stew, groceries, porridge, kenkey and fish, stationary, ornaments and jewelries. The loan that they will receive will benefit their micro-businesses. This is Abigail's second year with ID-Ghana. She joined by invitation from her sister, who is a member of the institution. She currently has a business selling tea, rice and stew. She began this business on her own effort about four years ago. The loan that Abigail has requested is to increase her working capital so that she can purchase milk, Milo, rice and other ingredients to prepare tea, rice and stew, which she will sell to customers. She will purchase the products from the market and later sell them at her residence. This job allows her to generate income to support her family, since she is married with one dependent child. When asked what she likes about ID-Ghana, she responded that she likes the other members of the group because they are responsible, which has helped them very much.
