Teresita's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy silk and poly silk threads in order to continue producing hammocks and canvas bags.
Teresita is 72 years old and has no formal education owing to her family’s financial situation. Teresita is a widow; her husband died three years ago. Teresita has five children but they are now independent adults and live with their own families. Teresita supports two of her grandchildren with what she can. Teresita has been producing hammocks and canvas bags for 14 years, a trade she learned from one of her sisters-in-law. Teresita also works in farming, growing vegetables and raising poultry that she sells once a week in the city. She also takes in orders for these products. Teresita has problems with one of her feet, preventing her from doing other work. As a result of this, she decided to work producing hammocks and canvas bags. Teresita is applying for this loan in order to buy silk and poly silk threads to continue producing hammocks and canvas bags. This will allow her to continue earning an income for her household. Teresita’s dream is to continue working and increasing sales. She can then earn a higher income and enjoy a higher quality of life.
