Sal Ma Village Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more ducks and high quality duck feed.

Sal Ma Village Group's story

Located in the Myanmar Ayeyarwaddy Delta region, Sal Ma Village has a population of over 800. In this community, five CBO (Community Based Organization) members oversee a group of thirty one village customers (20 Males, 11 Females). The group members will use the loans to purchase more ducks and high quality feed. This feed will improve duck nourishment, improving duck egg production to boost group members' incomes.

Pictured above are the CBO members from Sel Ma group, named U Min, U Tin, U Sein, U Lin and U Kyaw. U Min (Second from right) is 32 years old, has a small crop farm and 250 ducks. Currently, he sometimes has to go fishing to get by. During these trips, his wife is responsible for looking after their ducks. U Min's family will use Proximity's loan to purchase more ducks and high quality feed. Higher quality feed and more ducks will mean more duck egg production and sales from full-grown ducks, boosting U Min's family income.
