Esmelin Antonio's story
Esmelin is 42 years old and is married. He lives with his wife in a small village in the Municipality of Trinidad Santa Barbara. Esmelin makes a living as a street vendor selling merchandise such as clothing and knickknacks. A year ago, Esmelin and his wife decided to sell sweets and products of basic need from their home. He sells rice, flour, sugar, bread, coffee, salt, condiments, vegetables, canned goods and cleaning products. Esmelin has asked for a loan of 20,500 Lempiras in order to maintain his working capital and keep the business well stocked. With the loan he will buy products such as: rice, beans, flour, lard, sugar, soap, soft-drinks, churros, bread, eggs, vegetables and other groceries he needs to be able to increase his sales. With this loan he hopes to have better financial solvency for his family.
