Torees Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to increase the food stock and serve more customers.
Torees Group's story
Salah, who is in her mid 30s, is single with four children; one of them is still in school and the other three are grown-ups. She has been a food vendor for three years now. She works from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit. This will be Salah's fifth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to keep on increasing the food stock and started selling water, and she has paid back all her loans successfully. She is happy with the loan and appreciates Kiva for their support. She used the profit to pay school fees, to pay for loan dues and covered household expenses. She will use this loan to increase the food stock and serve more customers. She dreams of renovating her house. Salah will share this loan with her loan group "Torees," which has three members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
