Lete's story

Lete is a villager and a 58-year-old married woman with a 28-year-old son. She seeks your financial help to buy a milk cow. For the past 24 years, her focus has been on what she knew best, which is agriculture and livestock. She sells 40kg of cottage cheese each month, 12 kg of salted butter per month, and two baby calves a year. She owns 1.5 hectare agricultural land to plant fodder and corn. She uses corn for her two cows and the baby calves, but she also sells part of it. She keeps the fodder for the animals. Beans, peppers and tomatoes are some of the seasonal veggies that she plants. This is how she earns her living. Her son works in a shoe factory operated by Italian investors and earns $200/month. He sends his parents half of his earnings. Lete’s parents in-law live with them and have a pension of about $112/month.
