Kwin Village Group 1's story
This community is located in Kwin Village, Myanmar Ayeyarwaddy Delta region. In this community, five CBO (Community Based Organization) members oversee a group of 30 village customers. This loan will help some group members purchase ducks or ducklings that will increase their income. The other group members will use the funds to purchase high-quality feed. Most of the villagers are farmers who also plant seasonal food such as coconuts and bananas. For additional income, 196 Kwin villagers also raise pigs and chickens as livestock. The picture above are the CBO members of Kwin Group 1, named U Ye, U Zin, U Kyaw, U Hte and U Myint. U Ye ( farthest right in photo) is 41 years old and married with four children. U Ye farms the family crop farm while his wife looks after their ducks. U Ye will use the Proximity's loans to purchase more ducks, increasing duck egg production and ultimately boosting his family's income.
