Nietaa 2 Group's story
The Nietaa 2 group is made up of 2 members. They have an average age of 42, 4 kids and they live in traditional families in Diambala, in the county of Bougouni, in the Sikasso region. This group purchases, stores and sells grains. In order to satisfy his growing customer-base, he decided to collaborate with Soro Yiriwaso, and has been working with them for 4 years. After having fully repaid his three previous loans, he is now on his fourth one. Oumar (on the left of the picture) will use his loan to purchase 20 tons of corn, 10 tons of rice, and 3 tons of sorghum from farmers in Diambala, Tora, Garalo and the surrounding area, which he will keep for a few months. He mainly sells in bulk to customers who are re-sellers from large towns such as Bamako, Bougouni, Yanfolila. He hopes to make a profit of 690 000 FCFA by the end of the season, and will use it to repay his loans and to reinvest the rest into his business.
