Adama's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped buy a first set of five bags at 10,000 CFA francs each, to shell and resell at 400 CFA francs per kilo.
Adama's Group's story
This group was set up during the second half of 2013. It consists of women determined to change their living conditions. Consequently they are entering their second round in the program. They all live in the same village and maintain strong solidarity and mutual aid relationships. Their main activity is small retail business augmented by rain-fed agriculture. Mrs. Adama (seated on the right with her hand raised) is the group's featured borrower. She is a 37-year-old married mother of five children (three boys and two girls). She is active in the buying and selling of groundnut kernels. She wants to buy bags of un-shelled groundnuts, to be shelled and resold by the kilo at a better price. She has good experience in this area having had years of practice. She intends to use this loan to buy a first set of five bags at 10,000 CFA francs each, to shell and resell at 400 CFA francs per kilo. Profits will enable her to increase her savings and help her husband with household expenditures.
