Jocelyn's story

Jocelyn is a 30-year-old married woman from Leyte. She has three young boys ages six to nine. Jocelyn runs a sari-sari (variety) store. She sells items such as sugar, coffee, condiments, noodles, toiletries and canned goods. Her husband works as a service crew member. She plans to venture into hog raising but lacks the capital to do so. She has requested a loan of 10,000 PHP to buy piglets, feed and groceries to sell in her store. In the future, Jocelyn would like to expand her business to support her family, and to save so she is able to send her children to school.
