Kha Yaing Baw Village Group 1's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase ducks and high quality feed.

Kha Yaing Baw Village Group 1's story

This community is located in Kha Yaing Baw Village, of the Myanmar Ayeyarwaddy Delta region. Kha Yaing Baw Village has over 200 villagers who farm, fish, and raise various livestock such as pigs, ducks and chickens. In this community, five CBO (Community Based Organization) members oversee a group of 20 village customers (13 males, 7 females).

This loan will help some group members buy high quality feed, costing $26 for four days feed for 100 ducks. Other group members will use the funds to purchase ducks to increase income from more duck eggs. The photo above shows four CBO members and a village customer, named U Kyaw, U Thine, U Kyaw K, Daw Ei and Daw Hnin.

U Kyaw (in the middle of the photo) is 45 years old and married with three children. He farms on his five-acre farm and looks after 150 ducks. His wife and two of his children help him on the farm. Like the other fellow members, the funds will enable U Kyaw to purchase high quality feed that will increase duck egg production, thus boosting income.
