Ta Man Gyi Village Group 3's story
This community is located in Ta Man Gyi Village of the Ayeyarwaddy Delta region in Myanmar. In this community, 5 CBO (Community Based Organization) members oversee a group of 17 village customers (ten men and seven women). The loan will help group members to purchase high quality feed for ducks (costing $24 for five days feed for 100 ducks). Ta Man Gyi Village consists of over 360 households and 1,200 villagers. In addition to duck farming, several villagers also farm fish and raise pigs and chickens. The above photo shows three CBO members and two village customers, named U Kyi, U Aung, U Zaw, Daw San and U Myint. Included in the picture, U Kyi (in the middle) is fifty-six years old and married with three children. Of the three children, one is a student and two are working. U Kyi farms on his 24 acres farm and takes care of livestock ducks and chickens. Like the other fellow members, Proximity's loan will enable him to purchase high quality feed for ducks.
