Jitegemee Group's story
Magreth, who is in her mid-30s, is a divorcee with four children who are still in school. She has been a food vendor for the last ten years and works from 6am to midnight daily and is able to make a good monthly profit. This will be Magreth's fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more items to sell and has paid back all these loans successfully. She is happy with the help she is receiving and appreciates the support Kiva provides to her group. Magreth has used her profits to pay school fees and cover household expenses. She will use this loan to restock her store. She dreams of owning a hotel someday. She will share this loan with her loan group Jitegemee, which has a total of five members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
