Min Hla Village Group 1's story
This community is located in Min Hla Village, Myanmar Ayeyarwaddy Delta region. In this community, five CBO (Community Based Organization) members oversee a group of 26 village customers. This loan will help some group members buy high-quality feed for ducks (costing $30 to feed 100 ducks for six days) and help other members to rebuild the duck farm (costing $40 for hundreds of ducks). Min Hla Village has over 600 villagers and most of the men are farmers. For additional income, some households also plant seasonal foods and raise pigs, ducks and chickens. Some young villagers go to other villages or towns as daily workers. Pictured above are the CBO members from Min Hla Village Group 1: U Win, U Tin, U Kyaw, U Kyaw M and U Hla. Included in the picture, U Win (top left) is 47 years old and divorced. He lives with his four children. two who are working in the city and two who are students. He takes care of his 170 ducks and two pigs. His main income is from ducks. The Proximity Designs loan would enable him to repair the duck farm as well as buy high-quality feed for them.
