Fany is 32 years old. She lives with her spouse and their two minor children in a rural district of Pucará, located in the province of Jaén, Cajamarca region, in the northern sierra of Peru. The main economic activities practiced in this district are agriculture, raising livestock and commerce. She raised and sells small animals, such as ducks, chickens and pigs. Her business is located in the rear of her home. She also sells seasonal fruit and has been doing this for 2 years. She has regular customers who give good personal and business references for her. She has asked for a loan to buy a larger quantity of stock for her business as well as balanced feed for them. Fany hopes to offer a wider variety of products to her customers and that this will be reflected in her sales levels, which will allow her to increase her and her family's quality of life.
