A loan helped to buy wool wholesale.

Gladys's story

Gladys, a 29-year-old woman, is married and has a 7-year-old daughter. She has a business knitting trousers for children. She is a good mother and is hard working. She has her business in the area of Villa Adela, which is known as a growing commercial area. It has a dry cold climate and the temperature varies during the day between 2 and 14 degrees centigrade. Gladys is dark-skinned, with long black hair. She speaks Spanish in her everyday life and when she is doing business. She lives with her family in a brick-built house which has drinking water and electricity. Her business is knitting trousers by hand and she also does them by machine. The trousers are highly sought after by the mums to protect their children from the cold. She works independently in her home every day of the week. She has an improvised stall in the street for her sales and she also sells at the fair and at markets as a street vendor. She will use the loan to buy wholesale wool of different colours and textures for knitting her products. This is her first loan cycle with the institution in the 2 years which she has been doing this business. This is why Gladys is asking for a loan to buy wool wholesale so she can knit and increase her sales.
