A Ga Lone Village Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped expand their number of ducks as well as buy good quality feed.

A Ga Lone Village Group's story

This community is located in A Ga Lone Village in Myanmar's Delta region. The Community Based Organization consists of five committee members overseeing 25 village customers. This new loan would help the A Ga Lone Village group members buy food for ducks (1 packet= $13, a week's feed for 100 ducks) and purchase more ducks. More ducks means extra income per month. Most of the villagers are farmers who specialize in crops and some as well have livestock such as pigs, hens and cows. Young boys in the village earn from cycle or car carries. Pictured above are committee members from A Ga Lone Village's CBO named Daw Kay, Daw Mi, U Myint, U Tin, and U Tun. Included in the photo, Daw Kay (first from left), is 31 years old. She is a housewife and also helps her husband on the crop farm. She lives together with four family members including her two sons. Apart from cropping, she plants betel nuts too and for extra income she raises pigs and ducks as livestock. Like the other members, she plans to buy more food for her ducks and expand the number of ducks.
