A loan helped to buy construction supplies to build a new house.

Srey's story

Srey, 54 years old, is a loving mother of three single children. She lives in a small community of Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. To make a living, she manages and operates a farming business, primarily growing rice and sells the crops to local dealers. On average, she is able to make an income of USD 2.00 per day.

Srey is living in an old house and she wants to build a comfortable one for her family. As the shortage of budget, she is now applying a KIVA loan through HKL to buy construction supplies such as brick, cement, iron, stone, timber and sand to build a new house. Through this loan, she hopes she can experience living in a comfortable house. She is thankful to all lenders for their financial support toward poor people.
