A loan helped to purchase potato seeds and fertilizer for land cultivation to enlarge her farming business.

Kukush's story

Kukush lives in Marmarashen village with her husband, son and daughter-in-law. Her elder son is a migrant worker in a neighboring country. Other family members help Kukush with running their farm. It includes livestock and land where potatoes, cabbages, wheat, and carrots are cultivated. The family always has high quality products and sells them in a local market. To be able to purchase potato seeds and fertilizer for land cultivation, Kukush has applied for this loan. This is Kukush’s first loan, and it has been approved within the framework of the joint initiative by Kiva and SEF. This first-chance loan program provides loans to people who have not had access to credit products because they have no credit history.
