Rabeah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to decorate the workstation she is to rent, and to purchase creams and equipment.
Rabeah, aged 25, married to a handyman, with four children, wishes to set up a business as a beautician in her part of Jerusalem, Umm Tuba, bordering Sur Bahar. She received a diploma in facial therapy, recognised by the Health Ministry, two years ago, and, when child care has allowed, she has been working since then in the corner of a hair dresser. She now wishes to develop her profession more systematically and has secured a rental contract for space to work within a health and beauty centre. The centre is supported by one of the large health insurance companies, which offers discounted service to its members. There is substantial demand for such services in the area, but most of the beauticians have little formal training, no more than casual courses; hence she will have a competitive advantage and be able to offer a much healthier, safer and better quality service to the women of the neighbourhood. She wishes to raise funds for decorating the workstation she is to rent, and to purchase creams and equipment.
