Zina's story

Zina is 45, married, and has three children who are all adults; only the youngest of them still lives with Zina and her husband. Zina has the equivalent of a high school education, and has been a crop and livestock farmer since 1994. She's a very responsible, hardworking woman, and currently has three cows and twenty sheep on her farm, as well as a 2.22-hectare plot of land for growing beans, potatoes, and perennial grasses. Her monthly income is nearly 10,800 som. Zina has decided to expand her business and is seeking a loan of 150,000 som from Bai Tushum Bank to buy three cows to increase her livestock headcount. She plans on using her extra income due to the loan to add even more animals to her farm, which will allow her to improve her family's well-being and build a home for her son.
