Math's Group's story
Mrs. P. is a 43-year-old fish seller who delivers her catch to customers' homes. She has been in this line of work since 2000 and can earn around $3.20 per day. Her husband, Mr. Sorn Sek, 42, is oxen trader. Mrs. P. and her husband work every day as well as care for four children, all of whom are young and live at home. Because her business is her family's main source income, P. would like expand her operations with a loan to buy more fish to sell.
The other four members of her group are: Mrs. Ma D., 35, sells perfume and wants a loan to buy more items to sell. Mrs. Math M., 63, sells roasted chickens and needs a loan to buy more poultry to buy and cook. Mrs. Rim RohiM., 29, sells used clothes and needs to buy more items to sell. Mrs. No S., 51, sells rice cakes and would like to start a new business selling home products.
