Moises's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in a 40 m3 waste-to-energy system.

Moises's story

Moises is a medium-sized farmer. He owns several hundreds of cows and lives from selling their milk and meat. He also owns a few fields where he cultivates corn, oat and alfalfa to feed his cows. He decided to purchase a large Sistema Biobolsa biodigester in order to close the natural cycle on his farm. From now on, his cows' waste will be input in the biodigester to produce biogas to cook and heat the house, as well as nutrient-rich organic fertilizer that Moises will spread on his field to increase their yield in a natural way and improve the quality of his cows' forage. As an experienced farmer, Moises knows that the increasing cost of LP gas and chemical fertilizers can be burdensome. He wants to give his children and grandchildren a sustainable farm, which does not contaminate the environment and is self-sufficient. This loan represents 35% of the total cost of the biodigester, the remaining part being covered by a government subsidy.
