Linda Del Pilar's story

Pilar is woman of 44, single, and has no children. She lives in her parents' house in the city of Santo Domingo de los Colorados, a city known in the country for being the bridge that unites the highlands with the coast. Pilar is a very hard-working woman and has been raising chickens for 10 years. She has built a small coop in her home where she keeps them for a few weeks before selling them. She is already known in the area because she feeds them mainly corn and they turn out as creole chickens. This is why she has a steady clientele. She's going to use the loan to expand the chicken coop and buy more chickens as she wishes to supply them for Christmas and New Year's. She feels happy because thanks to the small loans to the business persons she can succeed and move forward in life.
