Sri Ganesh Shg Group's story
20-year-old Puja makes a living by selling fruits and vegetables in the town where she lives. She is the mother of two children, aged 3 and 1 years. She has been making a living from fruits and vegetables sales for four years. Her husband helps in this activity. This is her first loan with Peoples Forum. She will use it to buy fruits and vegetables in bulk to resell. She wants to be able to grow her business and attend to her clients better. For this reason, she will save up in order to adapt her house to cater for the needs of her business and be able to establish her own vending store for fruits and vegetables. She is the President of the “Sri Ganesh Shg” group, which has 14 members. Each of the members has a different business and they are all from the same community. They work together for the good of the children and elderly people in the village. Each member will receive 15,000 INR. The person who leads the group (Puja) is shown in the photograph and is seated with her hand raised.
