The group is located in rural area called Manyama and comprises nine members, both men and women, namely: Beatrice, Ruth, Passy, Fred, Francis, Abas, Mathias, Fred, and Abasi. They carry out different activities, which include retail, charcoal trading, grocery, farming, teaching, local brewing, and stalls.

Mathias, the most well to do among them, is a married man aged 35, with two children, one attending school. He lives with the family in Manyama. He does farming alongside trading agricultural products such as corn, grain, beans and nuts. He works all seven days of the week and ten hours per day to maximize income. He started the business because it was more profitable, and is using this loan to buy more stock of grain, corn and beans to expand the business.

His clients are traders from different markets and those from nearby villages. His hopes for the future are to educate his children and also buy more land for farming. His challenge is limited capital.

He describes himself as an honest and hardworking man. He encourages fellow agriculturalists to be focused and resilient in order to achieve the fruits of their labour. He is hardworking and looks forward to a long-term partnership with Kiva lenders.
